The flagship conqueror: OnePlus One
A few days ago, Chinese manufacturer OnePlus announced the launch in the second half of 2022 of a smartphone called One. The web was in an uproar, and the bold advertising slogan “flagship killer” made the phone even more interesting and compared to the most famous models of Samsung, Sony or HTC.
The flagship killer
Samsung Galaxy S5, Sony Xperia Z2 or HTC One M8 are phones that bear the name “flagships” – solid, designer phones desired by many. However, their price guarantees a kind of exclusivity. The OnePlus One smartphone is the brainchild of a Chinese manufacturer new to the market, but it does not appear to be “cheap Chinese” at all.
It’s a solid phone at a very competitive price. OnePlus One will be available for purchase for as low as $299 with 16GB storage and $349 with 64GB storage. It’s even under 1000zł!
Best of all, the first tests and reviews augur that it really could be a flagship conqueror. The parameters of the phone may impress, OnePlus One is m.in.:
- The 5.5-inch, 1080p Full HD screen, covered with Gorilla Glass 3
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 2.5GHz quad-core processor
- RAM 3GB
- 3100 mAh lithium-polymer battery
- 13 Mpx camera, 5 Mpx front camera
The phone itself is reportedly the lightest phone on the market with such a large screen – its weight is 162g. The smartphone runs on the operating system CyanogenMod 11S, Which is based on Android 4.4 KitKat. The manufacturer guarantees that all materials used in the production of the phone are of the highest quality.
It looks like we can get an equally solid phone for half the price of the Samsung Galaxy S5, without simply overpaying for the “logo”. On the positive side, the OnePlus One does not try to pretend to be more expensive rivals – it has a rather distinctive body, which is not associated with either Samsung, iPhone or any other flagship.
