We definitely need more services like Uber – Piotr Biegun
Today, Piotr Biegun, founder of Whalla Labs and one of the organizers of Startup Weekend Poznań and Hive61, answers 3 questions for the Mobile Trends Conference 2022 speaker. In a mini-interview, he talks about how Uber earned the title of his favorite mobile app. He also reveals his predictions for the mobile industry for 2022.
What novelties can we expect in the mobile industry in 2022?
The year 2022 will see the rise of mobile in the big business sector first and foremost. With the current market penetration of smartphones and the rise in popularity of Bring Your Own Device, large companies will need to adapt their processes to current trends in order to remain efficient and meet the needs of their employees. 2022 also saw further growth in mobile ad spending at the expense of m. in. TV and print, which will translate directly into an increase in user acquisition costs, but also in revenues for app publishers.
It is also worth watching the progressive development of conntected devices (refrigerators, washing machines, watches, wristbands, etc.).), which will become more popular and begin to facilitate the daily life of the average Kowalski.
What is your favorite app and why?
It's hard to choose one favorite app, but if I had to choose one it's definitely Uber. Maybe the app itself is not very powerful, but the way Uber works is the future of mobile. Two clicks, in, go, out and that's it. No need to carry a wallet, take part in the process of paying, tell where you are going, you just move from one place to another – amazing feeling.
We definitely need more services like this.
You will give a lecture at the Mobile Trends Conference 2022. What will your speech be about?
